De Grisogono with the LONDiNO
For the second consecutive year, the Geneva-based luxury Watch and Jewellery company de Grisogono associates itself with the LONDiNO Transnational Automobile Tour. From Wednesday 22nd through Sunday 26th of August 2007, more than 20 teams, consisting of a pilot and co-pilot, will link London and Portofino through means of an original automobile challenge blending sportsmanship, technical know-how, design and endurance.
More than 20 exceptional motorcars will drive through four exceptional countries during three days of challenge... The participants of the “de Grisogono & LONDiNO Transnational Automobile Tour” will, once again, live to the rhythm of one of the world’s most extravagant treasure hunts: a first-class adventure on board a diverse range of cars from the Lamborghini Diablo to the Smart.
As much a test of endurance as of navigation and observation, the “de Grisogono & LONDiNO Automobile Tour” challenge consists of linking London and Portofino, in Italy, by way of Paris and Geneva. For each stage of the challenge, the participants, all equipped with a digital camera, will have to closely follow indicated clues and photograph various monuments or landscapes along their course. Playful and convivial, the “de Grisogono LONDiNO Automobile Tour” also enables its participants to enjoy an exclusive cocktail and dinner in selected locations of the different cities each night. Each selected city will also provide a privileged moment to discover de Grisogono’s latest jewellery and timepieces creations.
The winning duo of the 2007 challenge will receive the Londino Trophy as well as a de Grisogono Instrumento N°Uno Acier watch, specially customised for the occasion. This timepiece, set with a dual time and large date aperture within a masculine-styled square case was the first model to be launched by de Grisogono in 2000. Since then, the Company has presented 17 watch collections for men and women. de Grisogono’s timepieces combine beauty, design, technical innovation and elegance, much like the “de GRISOGONO LONDiNO Automobile Tour” itself.
