True to the spirit of the historic Mille Miglia cars, the 2026 Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph French Limited Edition features a 40.5 mm case – an ideal size for driving comfort and equally refined with evening wear. It is crafted from Lucent Steel™, Chopard’s exclusive alloy well-known for its unique properties – as seen also on the bezel, crown and pushers, alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. Knurled pushers evoke brake pedals, while the notched crown enhances grip. Welded lugs attest to meticulous craftsmanship, echoed by the pin buckle’s matching finishes.
The varnished blue dial is accented with blue, white and red transfers – a tribute to France’s colours and a guarantee of legibility. A silvered minutes track and tachymeter scale frame the layout, while hour markers and hands glow with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova
® for night-time clarity. The red chronograph seconds hand recalls the iconic Mille Miglia logo.

A
‘glass box’ sapphire crystal crowns the dial, amplifying legibility, depth and light for shimmering perspectives. Completing the look, the timepiece is fitted with a blue rubber strap featuring a tyre-tread motif – a creative touch from Chopard, which was among the first Manufactures to use rubber on the straps of Mille Miglia chronographs. This distinctive design underscores the collection’s racing DNA, drawing inspiration from Dunlop tyre models of the 1960s. The sapphire crystal case-back is adorned with crossed flags: one in black-and-white chequered racing, the other in France’s national colours. It reveals the self-winding chronograph movement, certified by the
Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) and offering a 54-hour power reserve.

The art of time and speed
‘The most beautiful race in the world’ shares deep ties with France. The success of the Le Mans 24 Hours, first held in 1923, inspired four Brescia enthusiasts to create the Mille Miglia. During its 30-year history, French-built cars competed in more editions and claimed more class victories than any country outside Italy. This record is therefore certainly worthy of celebration in the form of this new model, no less because Chopard remains the race’s World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper since 1988.
The 2026 Salon Rétromobile in Paris (28 January - 1 February), devoted to classic cars, offers the perfect stage for Chopard to unveil this exclusive 100-piece limited edition, proudly dressed in the French national colours.
