Mirroring the urban BR-X5 line, the new professional BR-X3 collection is aimed at lovers of exceptional timepieces and contemporary watches with bold personalities.
Between the lightweight BR-X3 Black Titanium and the space-blue BR-X3 Blue Steel, the first chapter of this new Bell & Ross adventure opens with a complementary duo of watches.
A cutting-edge version of professional Instrument watch
The letter
“X” is no stranger. A symbol of performance and modernity,
“X” is often used as a code name for special projects in industries like aerospace. In the footsteps of the BR-X5, the new BR-X3 models assert their experimental nature within the BR-03 collection. More powerful, more efficient and bolder in their design, they invite fans of contemporary watchmaking to explore new realms. These models fully embrace their uniqueness and now represent the most advanced level of sophistication in the professional range.
Merging lightness and robustness
Technical and lightweight, the new BR-X3 Black Titanium pushes boundaries even further. Combining materials and components, and adopting a case made from titanium with an innovative structure, this Bell & Ross instrument watch ventures into a more technical and high-performance universe. Its new movement, certified by COSC, comes with a 5-year warranty.
Designed for innovation enthusiasts and precision mechanics lovers, the new BR-X3 Titanium features a case made entirely of titanium. Long used in aerospace, spacecraft design, and motorsport — especially Formula 1 — this high-tech material can withstand the most extreme conditions.
Notably resistant to corrosion and scratches, this modern metal is one-third lighter than steel, with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. This lightness makes the watch comfortable to wear, a feeling further enhanced by titanium’s natural warmth on the skin. That sensation is extended by the textured black rubber strap, which features a perforated design for breathability and added lightness.
Bell & Ross’s expertise in professional titanium watches led to an optimized case design. This work with technical materials, especially titanium, enabled the development of a new case concept for the BR-X3. While aesthetically aligned with the signature lines of the BR-03 collection, its multi-layer construction is entirely innovative.
Exceptionally high-performance
What sets the BR-X3 Black Titanium apart is its multi-component, multi-layered, and multi-material case structure. This 41 mm
“sandwich-style” case is lighter and more resistant.
“Two gray titanium plates—top and bottom—hold all components together. The black color of the strap continues through the case, forming a black band that runs between the two gray titanium layers,” explains
Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross.
“This multi-layer design lets us mix materials, colors, and finishes.” The case’s robustness is ensured by four screws that secure the titanium plates, middle case, bezel, and case-back.
One of the most distinctive features of the BR-X3 Black Titanium is its X-shaped dial design. The matte grey metallic structure frames the date window at 3 o’clock and the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. Applied metallic indices are embedded in the wide 60-minute graduated flange. Photoluminescent indices and hands ensure perfect legibility both day and night. The large date display shows three days—corresponding to the 70-hour power reserve. The automatic mechanical movement was exclusively developed for Bell & Ross by Kenissi. This high-precision caliber is COSC-certified and runs at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It also comes with a 5-year warranty.
Evoking celestial travel, this high-tech professional instrument watch, the new BR-X3 Blue Steel, takes Bell & Ross’s extreme series into orbit. With finishes and styling that combine steel and deep blue, its design is inspired by the aerospace universe—a journey into the vastness of space. With silver-toned metal and blue decorative elements—especially the sunray-finished background—the dial of the BR-X3 Blue Steel offers a window into the sky. Its X-shaped design is a hallmark of the X3 identity. The metallic decoration is polished on the edges for a refined look and micro-blasted on top to emphasize the watch’s technical side. Applied metallic indices, numerals, and hands are photoluminescent thanks to white Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal readability in the dark.Notably, the bezel ring and structural columns are made of anodized blue aluminum. Connoisseurs of the space race will recognize the material and finish, reminiscent of the connection systems on the Apollo 11 crew’s flight suits.
The Blue Steel version demonstrates the X3 case’s ability to adapt. By playing with materials and colors, Bell & Ross can offer its iconic watch in various finishes, each with a unique personality. The BR-X3 Blue Steel is designed for those who appreciate technical yet refined timepieces. This more precious version embraces its identity as a futuristic jewel. Its polished and satin finishes highlight the signature
“circle in a square” design unique to Bell & Ross. Naturally, the strap’s specific color matches the tones of the case and dial.
A high-performance movement
Like all BR-X3 instrument watches, the BR-X3 Blue Steel houses the BR-CAL.323 caliber inside its 41 mm steel case. This automatic mechanical movement was specially developed by Kenissi for Bell & Ross. Offering a 70-hour power reserve, it is certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) and covered by a 5-year warranty.
