A new flower in the wondrous garden of Van Cleef & Arpels, the Pétale de papillon clip includes a surprise for sharp eyes: at the heart of the corolla nestles a butterfly, its hues blending with those of the flower. An imperceptible mechanism enables one of the petals to be lowered to free the precious animal, which can then be worn alone as a clip.

Containing two pieces in one, this creation is also remarkable for its vivid colors. Leaves set with emeralds and tsavorite garnets are echoed by petals adorned with yellow and mauve sapphires. The curved overall structure accentuates the natural effect of movement, while the stalk culminates in a pear-shaped diamond – testimony to the Maison’s attention to detail.
