Bucherer Blue Editions

An iconic collection created by iconic houses

Since 1888, Bucherer has offered its customers a distinctive selection of outstanding timepieces crafted by some of the very finest manufacturers. The unique relationship between the House of Bucherer and the most renowned brands is bred from a long- standing and continuous collaboration based on expertise, mutual respect and the highest skills in their corresponding fields.

To celebrate this unique connection with its partners, Bucherer introduces the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS an exclusive collection with Blue as central theme, imagined together with exceptional manufacturers. A source of inspiration for artists throughout ages, blue reminds us of the sky and the sea, but also of noblesse. A symbol of Bucherer, it has become a hallmark of the House and now epitomizes the uniqueness of all the new creations of the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS. Among watch aficionados, the secret is out that blue timepieces are especially handsome and create a very classy and distinct look. Only available at Bucherer boutiques, you can be sure that your Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS watch will not only connect you with the rich tradition of watchmaking, but will also leave a modern and – frankly – very cool impression.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore ChronographStainless steel/rose gold, 42 mm, manufactured automatic movement, date display, incl. blue rubber strap.
€ 31 700.–

Blue forms an integral part of the history of the legendary Royal Oak, which, when it was launched in 1972, featured this colour on its iconic tapisserie dial. When Bucherer approached Audemars Piguet for the BLUE EDITIONS project, the Swiss manufacture didn’t content itself to develop just “another model” featuring the name “Bucherer”. In the spirit of the Royal Oak collection, the company developed three striking timepieces which combine different styles and materials while playing with forms and colours to give the watches a chic yet sporty appearance – a powerful chronograph built for watch aficionados who want to stand out from the crowd.

Taking part in the BLUE EDITIONS project is an opportunity for Audemars Piguet to once again present a unique and exquisite watch. In order to offer Bucherer’s female customers a timepiece that epitomizes all its audacity and its know-how, the manufacture from Le Brassus, Switzerland, revisited its revolutionary Royal Oak Offshore. This watch has a powerful and sporting nature and is extremely well-built, and is also a timepiece that plays with contrasts: the blue counters stand out clearly on the white dial, which is enhanced by a bezel set with diamonds. The combination of stainless steel and rose gold in this Royal Oak Offshore BLUE EDITIONS is unique and was created exclusively for Bucherer.

The history of Audemars Piguet is marked by a show-stopping audacity. The latest in a long line of bold projects was a breathtaking complication housed in a sporty case. Their passion for the most complex mechanisms led Audemars Piguet and Bucherer to explore new ideas in watchmaking with the BLUE EDITIONS in order to offer watch collectors an exceptional version of the iconic Royal Oak. Equipped with the most exquisite of complications, a tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock, this timepiece is characterized by its robust case, a special combination of stainless steel and rose gold and an eye-catching “Petite Tapisserie” design on the deep- blue dial. Rare, of high quality and with a unique style, this Royal Oak Tourbillon is an exceptional timepiece for haute horlogerie enthusiasts and collectors.

In fact, it must be acknowledged that there is a special link between these two independent and family-owned houses, especially when it comes to the colour blue: “Our relationship with Bucherer is based on sincerity, confidence and stability ... and all of this is expressed in the colour blue! This colour is also associated with precision, a decisive quality in our industry,” asserts Chopard. For this special collection, Chopard has revisited its iconic Happy Sport women’s watch, creating a sporty-chic edition embellished with dynamic blue elements.

IWC Portugieser ChronographRose gold, 40.9 mm, automatic movement.
€ 17 200.–

The tradition behind the Portuguese family stretches all the way back to the precision nautical instruments used by seafarers to discover the world. A traditional line of nautically inspired precision instruments would be incomplete without a blue dial inspired by the sea. Thus, IWC manufactured the Portugieser Chronograph BLUE EDITIONS for Bucherer, a unique combination of a blue dial and a warm red-gold case. The dial with its shimmering sun-pattern finish provides a discreet contrast to the white counters, while the red-gold hands provide a wonderful highlight. This timepiece has a clearly organized dial into which every detail is integrated harmoniously.

Piaget AltiplanoRose gold, 40 mm, hand-wound manufacture movement, small-seconds subdial.

On this unique model, the dial is inspired by a fine midnight-blue suit, which an elegantly dressed gentleman would combine with an equally sophisticated rose-gold watch”, explains Quentin Herbert, International Marketing Director at Piaget Watchmaking.

Carl F. Bucherer Manero PeripheralAcier, 40,6 mm, mouvement de manufacture, automatique, indication de la date, petite seconde.
€ 6 000.–

Independence, tradition and innovation are part of the DNA of Carl F. Bucherer. The company remains faithful to the values of the Bucherer Group and its visionary founder, Carl Friedrich Bucherer, and refuses to just follow the latest trends. The Manero Peripheral created for the BLUE EDITIONS testifies to this philosophy and to the company’s exquisite craftsmanship: “The petrol blue dial was created especially for this model and is an intriguing contrast to the stainless steel case and the dark blue alligator leather strap. It is also a homage to the city of Lucerne, Switzerland, where we have our roots – and whose coat of arms contains the colour blue”, says Renato Bonina, Managing Director Europe of Carl F. Bucherer.
