As the undisputed Master of Sapphire, Hublot once again pushes the boundaries of horology with the new Big Bang Sapphire Sky Blue. Crafted from sapphire with a captivating sky-blue transparency, this limited edition of 100 pieces brings together cutting-edge mechanics. Featuring the innovative manufacture Meca-10 caliber, this watch is a testament to Hublot’s mastery of groundbreaking materials and exceptional design, evoking the boundless feeling of a summer sky.

First introduced in 2016, the Meca-10 challenged traditional watchmaking codes with an architecture inspired by mechanical construction systems. Designed around the movement, it puts its mechanics on full display through an innovative, highly visual structure. At its heart beats the HUB1201 manufacture manual-winding movement, composed of 223 components and built with a fully skeletonized Meccano-inspired architecture that reveals every element of its mechanical operation. Delivering an impressive 10-day power reserve, it is powered by two parallel mainspring barrels and features an unconventional rack-and-pinion system with sliding racks moving along a 9 o’clock to 3 o’clock axis, creating a distinctive dual power reserve display that has shaped the identity of the collection.

Since 2016, Hublot has become the undisputed Master of Sapphire, continuously expanding the possibilities of this exceptionally hard and transparent material. From clear sapphire to colors, the Manufacture has turned what was once considered impossible into one of its signatures.

The Big Bang Sapphire Sky Blue, housed in a 44 mm fully polished sapphire crystal case and bezel secured by H-shaped titanium screws, is paired with a structured sky-blue rubber strap. Its sapphire case-back reveals the mechanics within, while the matte sky-blue skeleton dial and matching movement bridges reveal the movement’s construction.

This would extend the coverage up to ten years.
