Frédéric Courvoisier, La Chaux-de-Fonds, made for the Spanish market, circa 1850. Rare and very fine 18 ct. gold hunting-cased pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator.

C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", engine turned. Gold cuvette engraved with a small lake side landscape with a castle and a fisher-man. D. Regulator type, silver, engine turned in a floral and foliage pattern with gilt floral decoration, independent chapter for hours in Roman numerals, minutes and seconds in Arabic numerals. Blued-steel "arrow hands. M. 19"' frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate with going barrel, 15 jewels in gold screwed settings, pivoted detent escapement, two- arm cut bimetallic balance with gold poising screws, Breguet balance spring. polished steel three-arm tourbillon carriage with gold weight, driven by the minute wheel. Signed on the dial and the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 52 mm.
